Shape Our City Workshop (3rd event)
City Staff will be at the City of Shafter Booth to conduct our third round of the "Shape Our City" workshop series. We will have a fun activity to understand community priorities on General Plan issues, games, and prizes.
NOTE: if you participated in the first or second installments of the workshop (at Cinco de Mayo or Shafter High School), the activities and questions will be the same.

Shape Our City Workshop (2nd event)
City Staff will be at Shafter High School on May 7th with the second installment of our "Shape Our City" workshop series.

Shape Our City Workshop (1st event)
The City's General Plan team will have a booth at Mannel Park starting at 11:30am (after the parade) to engage the community in a fun activity to understand community priorities on General Plan issues. This is the first installment of the "Shape Our City" workshop series.
The General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) will hold its second meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. This event will be hosted at the Shafter Police Department, 201 Central Valley Hwy, Shafter, 93263; PD Conference Room.
At the meeting GPAC members will be evaluating trade-offs and opportunities related to future growth and development in the City. Public comment will be heard at the end of the meeting.
A similar exercise will be conducted with community members at our booth on Cinco de Mayo!

The General Plan Update team is taking over the City of Shafter booth to create a community journal, capturing personal stories about your favorite memories, what you love about Shafter, and one thing you would change about the City. These stories will help guide a new 20-year vision and the policy guidelines to help us get there.
The City of Shafter will conduct its Kickoff General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) meeting on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm. This event will be hosted in the City Council Chambers Room, 336 Pacific Ave, Shafter, CA.
We will be providing an overview of the General Plan Update process and the Lerdo Highway Visioning work at a
Special Joint Meeting of the Shafter City Council and Planning Commission.
